The perfect alcoholic hot chocolate & exclusive giveaway with RumChata
Now if there’s one thing to love about Christmas (excluding the pretty lights, abundance of chocolate, and sparkly party dresses) it’s the fact that you can totally drink a Bailey’s every night of the week and no one will ever judge you for it. Except yourself, when you realise you’ve put on about a stone in weight by the time new year hits. Anyway – it’s time to step away from the Bailey’s, mulled wine, or whatever festive drink you’ve got in your hand, because RumChata is what you need this season.
So what is RumChata? It’s a smooth Caribbean rum with the sweetness of vanilla, cinnamon combined with a unique warmth thanks to it’s signature blend of spices. They recommend drinking neat over ice, poured into coffee, shaken up in your favourite cocktails, or the best way – laced in to a velvety hot chocolate!
Today, I’m bringing you the perfect boozy hot chocolate recipe, courtesy of RumChata. And all biased opinions aside – you’re going to want to try this at home.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 170ml full-fat milk
- 30g luxury hot chocolate buttons
- 2 x 25ml shot of RumChata
- Whipped cream
- MarshmallowsCompetition time!
Heat milk in a saucepan until close to boiling point, then stir in 30g of your hot chocolate buttons until smooth and velvety (drool). Carefully pour into your glass then add 2 x 25ml shots of RumChata (I won’t judge you if you add an extra shot). Last but not least, top with a generous (i.e. go crazy, treat yo’self) serving of whipped cream and marshmallows. Aaaand enjoy!
