DSC_0467“Is this skirt too weird?” Obviously I decided that if I was going to be swinging swing from café to café in a piece of clothing covered in monkeys and a coat that slightly resembles a fluffy straight jacket, it was going to be in New York City. Fashion is one thing  that I somehow miraculously manage to be bolder about, but in Manhattan I felt even more free to dress myself without conforming to rules or norms.

The temperature was in the high 20s, the streets were bustling with business people dashing for their lunchtime coffee, tourists strolling with their heads tilted up towards the sky, and street venders selling the best smelling pretzels EVER. And despite my sweaty upper lip (this coat is definitely going to be fantastic during the bitter Edinburgh winter) and hectic surroundings, I felt more at home shooting my outfit than I ever have. In fact, a few passersby actually commented on how much they loved my outfit – either to me or to their friend. How freakin’ nice is that?

Anyway, I’ll let the photos do the talking here. There’s only so much describing of an outfit a girl can do. So, here are the photos of one of my favourite looks from my trip.

I’ll be posting more on my blog soon – including my experience at Bite Beauty Lip Lab!

Hello! I'm a pint-sized marketing graduate in Edinburgh. I spend too much time scrolling through Instagram, drinking copious amounts of coffee and thinking about what colour of lipstick works best with my outfit.
