Yaaaas, its the weekend and I live for lazy Saturday mornings like these. Going from rolling out of bed to attend a lecture a few days a week and pretty much making up my own timetable, being a graduate has definitely been a shock to the system.

Gone are the days of slipping into the same pair of ripped jeans that you haven’t gotten round to washing in quite a while, and the least-crumpled top you can find to save you from hauling out the dreaded ironing board (honestly, I totally still do this more often than I should). Anyway, I feel like I’ve had to up my game and make a more conscious effort to dress smart(ish) and more put-together, which I’ve found that I can fake with a simple pair of heels and the right jacket.

After steering away from short jackets for as long as I can remember and always opting for something that covered my insecurities (i.e. my hips and thighs), I finally found the coat that I loved enough to break my bum-covering coat habit, and at a bargain price too! I got this Zara coat in a medium, and its a tad oversized on the shoulders and arms, but I much prefer being able to comfortably move and layer over jumpers if I wanted to. I feel like it really smartens up an outfit and its definitely something i’ve been missing from my wardrobe for a long time!

Hello! I'm a pint-sized marketing graduate in Edinburgh. I spend too much time scrolling through Instagram, drinking copious amounts of coffee and thinking about what colour of lipstick works best with my outfit.
